I just had my home exterior painted with Cool Wall. This also included stucco, a brick retaining wall (planter box at the front of the house) and wood siding repair (with a small amount of wood replacement). I'm very pleased with the work that was done. The Genesis crew, especially Christian Mancilla and Juan Carlos, who went above and beyond for me, were very courteous, professional and patient. They were open to my questions and understanding of my communication challenges. I've been partially deaf since childhood. I lip-read, but still miss understand or miss things entirely. I am grateful for this sensitivity and generosity, in this. It made this process a lot less stressful than other previous construction/ repairs in previous years with different companies. I highly recommend this Genesis crew especially.

Genesis restored the exterior of my home to its original condition. The cool wall super-cote is superior to the original stucco. The workmanship on the roof was outstanding. The work crew (Junior and George) were true professionals with great eyes for detail.Bryan szydelco, the on site manager, made numerous visits to the job site to the to address any questions or concerns I may have had and to insure all needs were being taken care. He was great! .The entire process only took 6 days and I could be more pleased! I love my new windows, the reduction in outside noise and sunlight beaming through my family room is too a minimum and my house has a new face lift.The installers were very professional and worked in a quick yet efficient manner. After installing the windows, they cleaned up after themselves and gave my husband and I a tutorial on how to operate, clean and maintain our new windows and door. Plus the windows I chose came with a double back warranty for life, even if I sold my home it would transfer to the new owners. Money well spent, Investment worthy!

We decided to update our home’s color scheme and began researching the Tex-cote CoolWall product. After meeting with several contractors—including one who was overly aggressive on pricing—it became clear that Genesis Home Improvement was the right choice. Our consultant, Diego Avila, did a fantastic job explaining the product and, more importantly, the company's commitment to quality. I expected to pay a premium, but the pricing was very competitive and the execution was nearly flawless.Our Project Manager, Bryan Szydelko, was excellent. He kept us informed at every step and provided a huge relief by showing us actual color samples on the wall before we committed. The 'secret sauce,' however, is the crew. They were incredibly experienced, explaining how they remediated repairs and suggesting where to best use specific colors for the most impact. My wife and I are thrilled with the results and highly recommend Genesis!

We started this project November 10th and it is now finally finished on January 4th! Despite quite a few rain delays, some heated discussions with Genesis staff; my husband and I are extremely happy with the end result. I do want to share a couple of negative points before sharing the positive.Negatives:1. My husband and I did not appreciate being called liars (to our face) by Sales Rep Danny after he promised a certain scope of work in our project without first consulting knowledgeable project managers/contractors to see how viable the promise is before executing the signed contract. If it had not been for Christian, our 2nd project manger who was able to step in and provide straightforward information and knowledge as to what can/cannot be done, I would have cancelled the contract right then and there.2. The project took much longer than anticipated (not only due to the amount of rain) but also due to the volume of work that Danny was able to include in our contract. Additionally, there was a breakdown between what sales (Danny) promised and what the could actually be completed. My husband and I had to stop the project early on until Genesis was able to send out our 2nd project manager, Christian, who actually had the knowledge and expertise to reset project expectations with me and my husband.3. I agree with other reviews that speak to the nature of aggressive sales pitches and follow up calls by numerous sales people. Genesis needs to really improve on this. Don't create false narratives that include pricing only being available for the same day or within a relatively short period of time. Also... don't falsely inflate the pricing then start deducting all kinds of false discounts.... give fair pricing from the start! Also...all 3 Tex-Cote dealers that we met with all showed the same videos regarding the Tex-Cote process and company. Really??? I don't really care that Tex-Cote gave Genesis a shout out in their presentation video. What I do care about is the communication during the process (not only when payments are due) and quality of work.4. Be upfront that the contractors Genesis employs are not direct employees of Genesis. They are subcontractors who Genesis employs for the jobs. With that said, our project took much longer due to the rain, the initial breakdown at the start of the project between what sales (Danny) promised and what our contractor and 2nd project manager, as well as the volume of additional work included in the contract. Please keep this in mind when paying your contractors. Please ensure that you pay your contractors accordingly so that they can continue to pay their bills as well when unforeseen events (such as rain) delays projects. Please keep this in mind for the future.Positives:1. Our assigned contractor, Juan Carlos, did fantastic work on the project! As part of the scope of work, we removed a large garage window, patched up the opening, and changed the stucco of our home. Juan Carlos provided the exact texture that I hoped for and did a great job blending in the areas that were patched. I was really concerned about the patchwork and stucco not blending in well. Thankfully, this is not the case. Ultimately, my husband and I are extremely happy with the stucco work and the new texture.2. Juan Carlos did a fantastic job on the application of the Tex-Cote paint as well as the paint on the trim and doors. We are getting lots of compliments from our neighbors and are so happy with the colors we chose.3. Juan Carlos and Christian worked really hard to turn our initial negative experience with the Danny and the sales team into a positive outcome and they have succeeded. I highly recommend these two gentlemen for their quality of work, knowledge, and experience. Thank You both for turning the experience around!

As I said to Allan one the reps, they prepped the house repairing all cracks to where you can't even see they were ever there, painted and cleaned up it looked like a new house.When it comes to the roofing they remove the solar panels set aside safely and remove the old roofThe next day they started repairs and lay in the roof back in place.The following day they completed the roofing and put our solar panels back in working condition perfectly.I am very happy with their work.I would recommend them.

We had Genesis replace 7 windows and a sliding door in our home and it was a great experience. The new products (Anlin) are light years better than the original builder quality ones we had before.The sales reps (Noor and Mason) were knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Our project manager (Bryan) took care of all the logistics and was very responsive. The installer (Francisco) and his crew were courteous, efficient, and thoroughly cleaned up the work areas.We will definitely be coming back to Genesis to replace the rest of our original windows and sliding doors when the budget allows.

I asked for the moon in wanting a greek plaster style look from stucco. It was very hard to achieve but the guys did it! Then they did an amazing job with the cool coat product finish. 2 days of touch up to ensure every line was perfect and clean. Really amazing finish. It is just beautiful. They also remained patient as we got the look just perfect. It took extra time and they dug in. I could not be happier. Crews were extremely nice too. Christian Mancilla was my Project manager and he handled everything very well.

Our experience with Genesis Home Improvement has been very positive…from the sales team to the job coordinator - contractor, Horacio Garcia, and to the Leo’s work crew. Horacio was(and is) available to answer all questions and respond to any concerns regarding the wood/ stucco repair, the job prep, and the amazing paint products. Leo’ work crew was prompt, professional, and very detailed in their work. We had 2 windows installed prior to getting our house painted and we were very satisfied. I went with Genesis for a Tex-Cote COOLWALL exterior repainting job in March. Christian kept me in the loop from start to finish, informing me of all possible repairs needed, letting me sample a ton of different paint colors on my wall before starting, and giving me regular updates on what work his team had left. The painting team did a thorough and relatively fast and unobtrusive job, with next to no impact on my schedule. I highly recommend this company and this product. I am super stoked on how amazing my home looks and am looking forward to never having to paint again plus lower electricity/gas costs for heating and cooling. If you are needing to get your place painted, definitely consider Texcote and Genesis Home Improvements instead of latex paint. It's worth the investment and actually will save you money in the long run. Check out the before and after photos.UPDATE: I was so happy with the job they did on the Texcote that I got these cool triple pane windows with argon gas installed. They know how to take care of their customers and I feel I got a good deal as a return customer. Joe the Project Manager and Francisco the Foreman and the other two guys (who were very nice but I didn't get their names) did a fantastic job installing the windows. The brand is Anlin. I'm looking forward to the noise reduction factor especially when it comes to fireworks going off in my neighborhood and freaking out my dogs. Not to mention the energy savings and tax credits! We heard about a paint called TexCote which lasts for 25+ years and is guaranteed. After researching several, we decided to go with Genesis. Not only did they offer TexCote for an amazing price, but also they worked with us every step of the way on getting color samples and timing for the work!We were very happy with the final result as the house had not been painted for over 12 years and was in bad condition. House is transformed from tan walls and green trim to beautiful honeydew green walls dark green trim.Huge shout out to Christian and his crews who did a fantastic job! Hoping for many years to come (but we were assured that in the unlikely event something does go wrong, they have a 5-year company warranty and lifetime on the product!!). Highly recommend Genesis for house painting.

Tim, Christian and the whole Genesis team provided excellent and thorough service for our home improvement project. We contracted Genesis to power wash, complete stucco repair, and paint our home with the Cool Wall product. They guided us through each step and helped with ideas on color selection. We were happy with each phase of the project. Communication was prompt and polite. They wasted no time in getting started and worked each day until completion. When a few touch up areas were identified, the painting team returned and made sure each detail was completed. Horatio did a great job of supervising the project, while Abraham did most of the work. Abraham paid a lot of attention to detail and displayed meticulous workmanship. While two other workers provided support, Abraham often re-taped prior to painting when others didn't meet with his standards. Abraham and his apprentice worker stripped off the 15-year old Rhino Shield, which didn't breathe allowing moisture rot and some termite damage. A lot of wood siding and trim were replaced, as shown in the attached photos. Horatio did a fine job of overseeing the project to insure that all areas needing repair were fixed. We are extremely satisfied with the Tex-Cote and the completed job.

The commitments made to us were fulfilled on time and with excellent workmanship. A few people I would like to thank for the excellent job done. The product delivery team lead by the project manager, Harocio, and his crew, Gustavo. I was so impressed with team Gustavo and the care they took at prepping my home before the Text Coat was applied. Harocio was involved in all of the major steps of the process. He involved us in inspecting and approving each process that went into applying the Text Coat. When finished Horacio's team, Gustavo, cleaned the entire job site. This was no easy task as Gustavo's team insured perfection of the finished job by insuring my solar system was covered, all my lights that I had installed around my home prior to the application were all put back in place and tested. It started with the Sales team Bryan who introduced us to the Genesis products. Initially we wanted to paint the house, yet we decided to install windows first. Bryan discussed in detail the benefits Anlin windows would provide. We ordered 8, eight, windows. Our project manager Sebastion, communicated effectively keeping us informed on when the windows would be manufactured and ready for installation. On schedule the windows arrived and were professionally installed by Felipe. The care and quality that Felipe performed was incredible. Between the three teams Sales, Project Management and Installation they all were great ambassadors for Genesis Home improvement. I would recommend them to anyone considering them for windows, roofing or painting. As you can see in the photos, windows look amazing, a great improvement over the single pane ones that were replaced. Now the exterior painting needs to be done next.

I have had a couple of projects done by Genesis. We had our whole house stuccoed and had the patio covering done. They did such an amazing job. Our neighbors have driven by and stop to tell us how beautiful our house looks and that it’s a night and day difference. The workers were all very kind and professional. Genesis just completed tex-coting my house exterior. My house is stucco so it needed significant stucco repair. Top marks to the crew and their work. The job was completed efficiently and in a timely fashion. The crew were real artists. Every aspect of their work was first-rate. The Tex-cote colors are deep and way better than any latex paint. My only criticisms is the unacceptable hard sell. The initial bid came with a discount that was only available if I signed immediately. Fortunately CA has a 3 day right to cancel so I decided to sign knowing I could cancel. Still the sales pitch was marked by over the top pressure. After the job was complete I got a high pressure, unprofessional phone solicitation for additional work. The caller would not relent and I had to insist they stop and go away.Why the company does this when they have a great product and very competitive pricing is beyond me. Unfortunately this aspect of the company makes it impossible for me to recommend Genesis to my friends as I do not want to be associated with their sales techniques.

GHI installed our patio cover the week before San Diego's Great Rains, Monday, Jan 22, 2024. It really held up against the worst deluge we've had in decades. Our neighborhood was hardest hit. We are very satisfied with the work done on our property. We also were impressed with Keagan, our sales rep, and the installer. They showed up for appts. on time. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We are very pleased with the professional way they dealt with us.

Service - Paint ExteriorWe recently had our house painted by Genesis. They were great to work with. The project manager - Horacio was available to answer any questions and followed up on site throughout the process. He was very patient with me as I asked for a few changes after the project was started. The crew doing the work were here on time and were very professional. They also cleaned up the area at the end of each day.

Always a pleasure to have Genesis work on the house. I've done both windows and Coolwall and have been fully satisfied with not just the products but the professionalism of the sales team, project manager and crews. Horacio was communicative, punctual and delivered on his commitments to the project. Manny and Rafael in the crew were respectful, quick and clean. I'd highly recommend Genesis for future work and intend to work with them again.

Just had the Texcote Coolwall installed. Extremely satisfied with the process and product! Highly recommend. Project manager Sebastian was very helpful throughout the whole process.Was there every step of the way and addressed all our concerns. Very professional.

This was such an easy and streamline process. These guys handled everything. They took the measurements, helped us with design choices, and the ordering and install process was fast and painless. It looks so good and I’m so pleased with our new outdoor space! Such value and professionalism!

Absolutely EXCELLENT customer service!Johnny was genuinely knowledge able and passionate about the product, very personable and openly honest. Memo even got compliments from all my neighbors for his precision, neatness and hard work. He was dependable and extremely thorough. Horacio was always pleasant and listened to my questions. My home is now like new. I am satisfied, happy and a little house proud. So glad I chose Genesis to revive and improve my house.

Genesis crew was very professional and stood by the agreed upon elements. The paint texture, color and trim look great. They were very careful with clean-up and protected the plants from damage.

The installers from Genesis Home Improvement were punctual and worked until sundown on a very large roof. Gabriel answered any questions I had during the installation; and Joe, the project manager communicated throughout the project. I am very satisfied with the installation and materials used for my new roof. I highly recommend this company!

Had our two story home get a new shingle roof. . . With existing solar panels being removed and put back on with new wiring, conduits, and mounts! The Ridgeline vent will help all our attics release excess hot air to keep our home cooler. And the labor and materials warranties are good for us and one buyer--for 50-years!

Very professional and extremely knowledgeable in the removal and installation of windows and sliding doors. Everything was explained about the installation, use and care! Our windows and sliders are absolutely beautiful. The entire crew Keegan (salesman) Joe (project manger) and Steve the (Foreman) were extremely courteous and professional through the entire process. From our first introduction to Genesis (Horacio), to our in-home appointment (Tim & Shawn), to signing the dotted line with Joe, I couldn’t be happier. All the employees were professional, friendly and ON TIME (when does that happen). I felt the company was trustworthy and transparent. My experience with Genesis Home Improvement was great from start to finish. All of the staff, from sales to the work crew, were friendly and professional. The crew took their time to make sure everything was done well and kept the project within the schedule. My house needed some stucco patching and they did a nice job matching the texture to the rest of the home. The paint job was amazing and makes my home look like new. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to repaint their home.

These guys are the best. They painted our house and also built a patio for us a few months later. They do really good work. Eric, David, Horacio Luis really nice guys and hard working. The quality of the exterior paint product is second to none and the patios are custom made to order. We are really happy we found Genesis and would definitely recommend them to others. We added a few photos of the exterior so anyone else considering them can see the work.

Recently had some work done on my home by Genesis Home Improvements. They installed new windows. The windows are great quality and look nice. The took some time to arrive, but Joe the project manager kept me updated regularly and was quick to let me know of scheduling changes. His crew worked hard and installed all the window sin one day. They are nice guys . Friendly and polite. They ape the work area clean and tidy and were respectful. Genesis offers financing and lots of options for getting he work done, its a big purchase so to have options was great as others we called did not have as much. All in all a good experience, we my hire them again when we need to paint in a few years. Thanks, David

Genesis was great from the beginning, from Fred who made first contact to Joe who was our project manager. Joe kept in touch and kept us up to speed on the project including our solar removal and reinstall process. Both our pool and residential solar were reinstalled when we were promised. Angel and his rlroof removal crew were great and you will not be disappointed if you use Genesis for your roofing jobs. Joe went above and beyond, and in today's world where customer service is lacking sometimes Joe will not let you down. My wife and I completely recommend Genesis for your roofing projects.

What I can tell you is my house has stayed cool all summer. We used our AC but hardly comes on during the day. The Cool Coat paint WORKS!!!! I recommend this product...saved on my SDGE bill . This product is amazing

We had a great experience installing our roof with Genesis.Tip and Christian did a great job presenting to us a potential game plan, as well as educating us on the materials and installation process. They took their time to answer every single question and concern we had, which really helped us feel comfortable making such a huge decision.The demo team was SO quick, and left our yard completely spotless.Gabriel and his team worked incredibly hard in the heat, and were still happy to follow me around as I pointed out pieces of my roof asking questions.Our project manager JOE could not have been more helpful. He was available the entire project, and just genuinely wanted to make sure that we were happy at the end of the day. And we are!Every single person we worked with at Genesis was incredibly professional, knowledgable and friendly. They have so much experience working together, you won't be disappointed.As for the finished product, it's exceeded our expectations.We are so happy to now be a part of the Genesis family, and will be choosing them for our future projects!

This job included the removal of old, sun-damaged wood, replacing it with new wood, sealing cracks in stucco, painting with an undercoat and a colored exterior coat. Some useless "gingerbread" flourishes that were original to the house were removed and simplified. The entire house was painted.The process was straightforward and without complication or incident. The only short delay was caused by running out of paint. The construction crew was extremely capable and highly skilled. The salesman who priced the job visited several times to check on progress and my satisfaction. The job was finished on schedule.The only thing I cannot comment on was the price: I know nothing of such things. It seemed expensive, but that is the opinion of a miser.At the end of the job, I was very satisfied and pleased. My house had been in the most disrepair in the neighborhood. Now it looks brand new.

Genesis Home Improvement is an excellent company. They use a new type of paint it's called cool paint. The workers were clean and fast. The lead was Robert, he went beyond was was required of him. Very personable and efficient. The Project Manager Joe was unbelievably efficient. This is the first company that cares for the people. Joe knew that I was basically alone so took it upon his self to install the back slider himself. So would be protected by their superior locking system. Robert also went to purchase for me new door locks. He pained my mailbox which needed help! He did all this! None of this was in contract. Robert and Joe took it upon themselves to ensure I was safe and that my house was in 1st class appearance. I recommend Genesis Home Improvement to any needing work done there prices are reasonable for excellent work.
